Welcome To My Blog

Hi there, my name is Josiah.

Recently I was inspired to create a blog in order to challenge myself. I am a firm believer in accumulating years of experience, not simply repeating one year of experience over and over. This year, I hope that this blog can be a project that I use to grow personally and professionally. Therefore being a way to deepen this school year’s level of experience while also enriching my appreciation for the stories and lessons that have made me who I am today.

This is likely already apparent, but I am by no means a writer. Regardless, my hope is that this blog will be valuable to both of us, you and I. By sharing my experiences and resources, I want to encourage educators to continuously grow in their personal practice in order to inspire the next generation of leaders.

My wealth of international school experience, passion for encouragement, appreciation for deep relationships, and leadership of students and peers has taught me a multitude of lessons. I believe that reflecting on these lessons will deepen my appreciation for what God has taught me throughout my journey. And in turn, these lessons will also help you grow on your personal journey.

Since this is my inaugural blog post, I want to take the opportunity to share a few of the themes that I hope to build on in this blog: My education journey, Reflection and appreciation, Teaching Science & PE, Teaching at international schools, Leadership in education, Coaching, Teaching during a Pandemic, Professional goals and hopes for the future, and Academic writing.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first post. I am excited about the “postential” (typo intended) of this blog and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes me.

It was a pleasure spending time with you today. If you would like to get in touch, please check out my contact page.

Peace & Blessings.

– Josiah
